Runescape Fishing

Fishing in Runescape is quite fun and easy. To start fishing, you need something fishing equipment. You get a net from Tutorial Island, but if you wish to use something else, you can always buy equipment from fishing stores. My favorites are in Port Sarim and Catherby. If you want to fish for specific things, then you will need to fish at specific areas. Any area with sparking water is a fishing spot. However, before we go into that, let me explain what the fishing equipment is and what it’s used to catch.

Net: Used to catch Shrimp, Anchovies, Karambwanji, Giant Frogspawn, and Monkfish
Fishing Rod & Bait: Used to catch Sardine, Herring, Pike, Slimey Eel, and Cave Eel
Big Net: Used to catch Mackerel, Cod, and Bass (This can catch items as well, and I will explain that soon.)
Fly-Fishing Rod & Feathers: Used to catch Trout and Salmon
Harpoon: Used to catch Tuna, Swordfish, and Shark
Lobster Cage: Used to catch Lobsters
Oily-Fishing Rod & Bait: Used to catch Lava Eel
Karambwan Vessel: Used to catch Karambwan

Things that you can catch with your Big Net that is not fish Include:
- Boots & Gloves
- Seaweed
- Oyster Shell
- Casket

A lot of times, they are just useless things to be dropped, but sometimes you will get something that is worth the trouble.

As you move through the levels of fishing, you will be able to fish for a wide array of fish.
I will now name all of the fish, what level you need to fish for them, and how many experience points (exp) you get per fish.

» Shrimp: Level: 1 Exp: 10
» Karambwanji: Level: 5 Exp: 10
» Sardine: Level: 5 Exp: 20
» Herring: Level: 10 Exp: 30
» Anchovies: Level: 15 Exp: 40
» Mackerel: Level: 16 Exp: 20
» Trout: Level: 20 Exp: 50
» Cod: Level: 23 Exp: 45
» Pike: Level: 25 Exp: 60
» Slimey Eel: Level: 28 Exp: 65
» Salmon: Level: 30 Exp: 70
» Giant Frogspawn: Level: 33 Exp: 75
» Tuna: Level: 35 Exp: 80
» Cave Eel: Level: 38 Exp: 80
» Rainbow Fish: Level: 38 Exp: 80
» Lobster: Level: 40 Exp: 90
» Bass: Level: 46 Exp: 100
» Swordfish: Level: 50 Exp: 100
» Lava Eel: Level: 53 Exp: 60
» Monkfish: Level: 62 Exp: 120
» Karambwan: Level: 65 Exp105
» Shark: Level: 76 Exp: 110
» Sea Turtle: Level: 79 Exp: 105
» Manta Ray: Level: 81 Exp: 115

Fishing can be very profitable if one desires it to be. A lot of times selling your fish raw can be more profitable than cooked. For those who want high cooking levels, they will buy mass amounts of raw fish and then keep cooking until they get the level they want, which is usually 99. Some people, however, will buy the fish cooked so that they can train. Although, the prices are a bit lower, if you can’t sell it raw, then it’s worth it. Prices reside solely on whom you are selling to. For a warrior, they will buy the lowest price they can every time. A lot of times, warriors will buy Tuna. It heals a fair amount and you can get mass quantities pretty cheap. Those who want to cook the fish themselves would rather spend more and get the best fish they can cook.

Now that you know all you need to, go out there, and fish! I don’t want to see you standing by a river asking “To fish, or not to fish?

Slayer Locations Slayer is a members only skill that sends you out to kill a certain number of creatures your Slayer Master assigns you. The difficulty of the creatures you must kill depends on the Slayer Master. With this skill you unlock the ability to kill Slayer creatures, who commonly drop more valuable items. When you are sent to kill any regular type of monster and aren’t sure where to find it, check RuneHQ’s Monster Database. However, there are 5 sites with a concentration of the Slayer Masters'favorite monsters, which are also listed in the Slayer Creatures Table above.

Located northwest of Canifis is the Slayer Tower. This place houses Abyssal demons and other slayer creatures. it contains the darker of the slayer creatures who, appropriately, may drop black/red mystic pieces. The Priest in Peril quest is needed to access it. It is roughly northwest of Canifis and is organized much like the slayer dungeon except of course there are floors instead of hallways separating the monsters. There are also two agility shortcuts to allow quick travel between floors. Monsters here start at crawling hands and banshees on the bottom floor and end with nechyraels and abyssal demons on the top floor. The Lumbridge Swamp Dungeon is located in Lumbridge Swamps, far southeast of Draynor Village. No light sources or ropes are necessary.

It is besically a long winding path with big rooms at regular intervals, each room contains a different type of slayer monster. It starts with cave crawlers and gradually processes to kurasks in order of increasing slayer level needed to kill the monsters. Two agility shortcuts allow quick travel through the dungeon. Some of the slayer monsters here drop white/gold mystic robe pieces. It helps to use the bank in Keldagrim instead of the one in Seer’s Village, it saves a tiny bit of time. Near the Golden Apple Tree in the Fremennik Province resides the entrance to the Fremennik Slayer Dungeon. The Dorgesh-Kaan South Dungeon lies deep beneath the Dorgesh-Kaan city. This dungeon leads to the Kalphite Lair. Upon completion of the Smoking Kills quest you unlock the access to the Desert Slayer Dungeon.

How to Train Slayer skill Runescape Special Monster Slaying Equipment Slayer Masters Slayer is a members-only skill which allows players to kill special monsters which have better drops than ordinary creatures and cannot be harmed by players who do not have the required slayer level. Some of these slayer monsters require special equipment to kill and will either start doing large amounts of damage or refuse to die if the player is not using it. This skill is taught by five slayer masters around the RuneScape world who give players assignments for killing certain numbers of monsters.

After completing an assignment, the player must return to a slayer master who will then assign them a new task. If either ordinary or slayer monsters are killed without getting an assignment for them first, the player will not receive slayer experience for killing them. The Burthorpe slayer master is the easiest and the Shilo Village slayer master the hardest. If you get an assignment you don’t like, you can go to the master in Burthorpe to get an easier one. You can’t change an assignment you get from the Burthorpe master though, so it’s not possible to keep changing until you get one you like. Each slayer master has his/her own selection of monsters to give as assignment. Higher masters give more and harder monsters.

The slayer masters will assign you either normal monsters to kill or special slayer creatures The five slayer masters cater to players of different combat levels, when players start training, they will have to beg one of the masters to teach them. After this they are given a “slayer crystal” which allows them to contact the slayer master who is best suited for their combat skills. Slayer masters can be located by a yellow skull icon that appears on the map. These are the slayer masters from easiest to most difficult: Turael, location: Burthrope – The easiest of the masters, players of any combat level may approach him. He assigns small numbers of low level monsters. Very few players every get assignments from him as most will wait until they have a relatively high combat before starting the slayer skill.

Mazchna, location: The bridge between Canafis and the haunted woods – Low to medium level players favour him. He assigns larger numbers of low level monsters and occasionally small numbers of more difficult creatures. He is useful because a lot of his assignments such as crawling hands or vampires can be completed close to him, allowing players to get a new assignment very quickly.

The Priest in Peril quest is needed to reach him. Vannaka, location: Edgeville dungeon at the Wilderness gate (not in the Wilderness though) – He is a strong favourite among most players, he assigns large numbers of medium to hard monsters. His assignments are virtually always possible to complete with a little effort. Chaeldar, location: Zanaris at the fairy queen’s court – She requires players to have a combat level of 70 before she deals with them. Sometimes referred to as “the crazy master,” she may give large numbers of madium-hard creatures on a regular basis.

Some regular assignments from her would be around 200 trolls or blue dragons. Some higher levels who get bored with Vannaka go to her, but many don’t like what they get. The Lost City quest is needed for access to Zanaris. Duradel, location: Shilo Village on the top floor of one of the houses – He requires a combat level of 100, and for a very good reason. Virtually all of his assignments are dragons or metal dragons. Only a few very daring high level players ever get assignments from him. The Shilo Village quest is needed for access to the town Slayer Monsters Slayer is a members only skill. The key to slayer is learning the enemy’s weakness and killing it accordingly.

In slayer, you get an assignment from a slayer master to kill a specific number of a certain type of monster. These assignments can vary from 10 spiders to 200 iron dragons and depend a lot on which slayer master you choose. To get started on the skill, go to a slayer master and ask for an assignment. He/she will tell you what monster to kill.

The slayer experience for each kill equals the monster’s hit points. If you kill it with two people, the one that does the most damage will get half the exp and the one that inflicts the final blow the other half. If you do both, or attack it on your own, you get the full exp. Also, there are various monsters that can only be assigned and killed at certain slayer levels. There are special slayer creatures which can only be killed at or above a certain slayer skill level.

These monsters offer rare drops and better treasure than normal monsters. These monsters have much better drops than normal ones since they have supposedly not been hunted for centuries and have managed to hoard up loads of treasure. They all require a certain slayer level to kill and some have to be fought with special equipment. They are the only monsters that drop black and gold mystic (a type of magic armor) and armoured boots which give great defence bonuses. The most wanted of all slayer monsters are the abyssal demons which require level 85 slayer to kill and which drop abyssal whips, currently the best melee weapon in the game.

There are plenty of other ways to make quicker money. Slayer Locations Some areas of the map are devoted entirely to the slayer skill and this is where slayer monsters can be found. There are three big ones Slayer caves: Found below Lumbridge and its swamps, these require a light source in order for players to enter them.

A bullseye lantern is recommended since anything else will blow out very quickly, it is also recommended to wear a spiny helmet (buy in a slayer shop) because wall beasts house at regular intervals in the caves. They can be entered through the kitchen cellar of Lumbridge castle if players have started The Lost Tribe quest and through the dungeon entrance in the swamps (players need a rope for this). The caves contain cave slimes, cave crawlers, and several sizes of frogs as well as the popular Tears of Guthix minigame.

Slayer dungeon: Located east of the golden apple tree in Relekka, this area is much more organized and less dangerous than the caves. Slayer tower: This is located in Morytania for a reason

Fishing Guild

The Fishing guild is located in the heart of Kandarin, just north of Ardougne; it is for members only. You’ll need level 68 fishing to enter. At level 65 you might wish to drink a fishing potion to enter (requires level 50 herblore to make; at level 63 you could eat an admiral pie to qualify (requires level 70 cooking to bake.)

The skills necklace teleport is an easy way for members to arrive just outside the guild door. Simply rub it and choose this guild as the destination. Read the skills necklace items database entry to learn more about making and recharging it.

The Master Fisher is usually just outside the door, and as you enter you will notice the three respawns of fishing equipment; a lobster cage, harpoon and a big fishing net (shown in purple on the map). The range close by is also very convenient, allowing you to cook whatever you fish and gain that cooking xp that you desire. There is a bank in the north-western corner where you can deposit your raw or cooked fish.

The two piers in the fishing guild are the obvious center of activity here. Many fishing spots allow you to catch tuna, lobster, swordfish, shark and more. The Orange spots are where you can one-click for lobster fishing. The green spots are for one-clicking big net fishing. Be aware that the fishing spots come on and off and also move left and right so you can’t just ignore the playing screen. At any one time, you can count on 80% of the spots shown on the map being available. The map accurately depicts the positions of each type of fishing spot. The fishing guild shop close by, run by Roachey, will buy your raw and cooked fish.

Easiest Skills to Get to 99

A Guide for People Who Are Too Lazy to Try the Hard Stuff
Sick of watching countless people walking by, boasting their skill cape, talking down to their "subjects" during one of your sessions in Runescape? I know I am. So here is a quick list of skills that take the shortest amount of time and effort to get up to 99 to get the skill cape so you can become one of those jerks!

1. Fletching - Hands down, the easiest skill in all of Runescape to master. Quick to level up, no effort is really needed, just click on your bank and take out some logs, fletch them, put them in the bank, repeat. You dont even have to get your own logs. Just stand by the Grand Exchange and buy logs (assuming you do have the money) and begin your ascention into ninety-ninedom.

2. Woodcutting- Similar to flecthing, and if you want to take out two birds with one stone then you could knock out woodcutting and fletching at the same time.

3. Cooking- Again, similar to fletching in that you can buy all of the food you want from the Grand Exchange, only you cant stand right in your bank and gain levels, you must find a range, cook, run back to your bank and restock. (Catherby is an excellent place to do this).

4. Hunter- People will be surprised to see this ahead of fishing but I do have a reason. You can get 99 in Hunter much more quickly than in fishing but Hunter requires a lot more effort, so it really becomes a question of, do I want to work hard and get this done quickly, or barely work at all, and reach my goal a little more slowly. The choice is yours.

5. Fishing- See above.

How to Win Runescape : Combat Tips and Tricks

Since you are probably level 45 or up, go back down to the Varrock sewers and get some food before going down where I am going to tell you to go. Don’t worry; I’m not going to make you fight level 100’s or anything insane like that. Just level 33 spiders or level 46 moss giants. You can choose.

Get some teleport runes. Go to Varrock, go to the sewers, and go to the right route, not the one that goes to the place where you can mage zombies, but the other one. Keep going until you get past the scorpions, rats, skeletons, ghosts, zombies, and the higher-level skeletons. Slash the web that blocks you by clicking on it, and keep going up the stream. Now you should be getting attacked by level 33 spiders, try to stay alive and go on the right side of the area and then go along the wall until you get to moss giants, but don’t attack the moss giant until someone else attacks it first, otherwise it will attack you, and you want to stay down there as long as possible.

These guys have some pretty good drops that vary from 2 gp – Mithril long swords. If you’re a member they drop seeds and herbs that come in handy. Now fight them for a while unless you run out of food or get a full inventory. Also if you bring some teleport runes it would be a little easier to get out of there. Otherwise you will have to walk through all of the monsters again. Once you get to Varrock, sell the items you got immediately unless you wish to keep them, but if you’re going to sell them I would suggest selling them every trip to the general store instead of selling them in bulk. If you sell them in bulk you will have to sell 10 at a time, and the more of an item in a general store, the less they buy and sell for. So if you want to get the maximum amount of money that you can get then I would recommend going and selling them every trip back to Varrock. Also, this just popped in my head. If you don’t have any laws, usually moss giants drop at least 3 law runes a trip.

Keep training on moss giants until you get to at least 55 – 60 combat. Then after you get to 55 – 60 combat, go to lesser demons, level 82 in Karamja Volcano. The way to get to here is to go to Port Sarim. If you don’t know how to get to Port Sarim I would suggest looking at the “World Map”. But since some of you are a bit lazy I’ll give you a bit of a walk through on how to get there.

First, go to Lumbridge, and go behind the castle and keep going in that direction. Once you hit a bank, stop. You are now in Draynor. Once in Draynor, go north a bit until there’s an opening in the fence. Go through there and go south until you see some boats. On one of those boats talk to the guys in blue and say “I would like to go to Karamja please.” And you will then pay the guy 30 gp to go to Karamja, unless you are a member and have done the quest. Then it’s free.

Once there go to the left until you get to the general store, then go south a little bit until you get to an opening in the fence. Go through the opening and go west until you see a red exclamation mark on your map. Yet again, if you are having issues finding this I would recommend looking at the “World Map”. It tends to come in handy.

Once inside of the volcano, keep going down past the skeletons until you get to the lesser. Here you can range, mage and melee if you know the right place where they cannot get. Now you fight them until you need food. If you have the right fishing level, there is a place where you can fish for food, but you will need and axe and tinder box since there’s not a fire anywhere. Trees that you can cut can be found on the volcano. Keep fighting these guys for a while because they are really good training. But they may take a while.

If you would rather, you can stay at the Moss Giants, but if you want some money and experience, go to the lesser demons since they drop Rune Medium Helmets. Also a little tip, if you have 55 magic and can use High Alchemy, I would High alch it rather than selling it. If you sell it you can only get 10k. If you alch it you get 12k. In members these guys drop a lot of stuff like seeds herbs and other stuff. Also these guys drop 60 fire runes at a time, so if you just want to make cash but not use food I would suggest ranging these guys. Otherwise you will probably have trouble killing more than 5. If you are a member wear a ring of wealth down here to have a better chance of getting their most rare item dropped.

Items dropped by Moss Giants are:
Gold: 2 – 700
100%: Big Bones
Weapon: Magic Staff, Mithril Sword
Armour: Black sq shield, steel medium helmet, steel kite shield
Runes: Air, earth, chaos, natures, laws, cosmic, deaths, bloods
Arrows: Iron, Steel.

Other – Rune Javelin, Adamant Javelin, Mithril Spear, Rune spear, Dragon Spear, herbs, seeds, steel bar, brass necklace, spinach roll, uncut gems.

Items dropped by Lesser Demons are:
Gold: 10 – 400
Weapons: Steel scimitar, steel axe, and dragon spear.
Armour: Steel full helm, Mithril chain body, and rune medium helmet
Runes/Arrows: Fire, Chaos, and Death

Other – Gold ore, Jug of wine, uncut gems, half key, chaos talisman, herbs, nature talisman, champion scroll, shield left half (dragon)

A Guide to Crafting for the Free Player

Runescape comes in two versions: the free version (which is supported by banner ads) and the paid to play full version (Five dollars a month subscription fee). While there are many other skills to play with on the paid to play version its wise to gain a familiarity with the game for free. Any skill where you are producing items you will find that by simply using the left click on your mouse up a new menu.

In the crafting skill, this secondary menu will give you the options of how many items you would like to craft. It will display these options as, Make all, Make x, Make 5, and Make 1, this menu is a huge time saver. You will need to use these options on this secondary menu whenever possible. You will need to raise your characters craft level in the game in order to make money and create items that will help you with other skills.

Let us first start out with explaining how to make pottery. You will need to get a pickaxe out of your bank account and have it with you in your inventory in order to mine. Next, you will have to open the world map and find a mine just use the key on the side of the map and click on the mining symbol. The symbols will light up all over the map.

I recommend using the mine that is located just southwest outside of the Varrock city walls. If you are still low combat watch out for a rat on your way to the mine, just run away from it for now. With all in game monsters (with the exception of slayer monsters on paid to play worlds), they will attack you until you are stronger then it at least twice its level is the general rule. You will want to mine a clay ore for every piece of pottery you want to make up to 27 per trip if you cannot yet equip your pickaxe or 28 if you do have it equipped.

Mix with water from a pitcher or bucket, and then make your way to the barbarian's town to spin your pots. Use your key on the map again to locate the pottery wheel and pottery oven. There is a small town called Edgeville just outside of the wilderness where you can bank your pottery and grab then next round of clay. You can only make pots up to level 7 they give 12 exp points per pot spun and fired. You can start making pie dishes to get you from level 7 to level 8 they give 25 exp points. You can then start-making bowls this is the highest thing free to play has to offer giving you 33 exp points per bowl.

Next lets move onto leather making, you will need to kill cows for this task I suggest you kill them in a field right out side of the desert city of Al Kharid. Kill a cow it should drop bones, which you should bury, rawhide, which you can cook, and a cowhide. The cow hides need to be taken to the tanner in Al Kharid or in the crafting guild if you are high enough leveled to enter. You will need to have at least 27 gold coins in your inventory to start since it costs one gold coin per tanned hide.

After you get to the Tanner, you will need to click on him and ask for soft leather. You will only need to ask for hard leather only if you are past level 28 and plan on making hard leather bodies. Then to make your leather item you will need to pick up a needle and thread at the crafting store which is also located in Al Kharid on the east side of Al Kharid. To make your leather item first click on your needle and then click on the piece of leather this will bring up an in screen menu.

Then select what kind of object you want to produce. You can only make gloves at level 1 through level 7 and it gives about 13 exp points but since everything you need is around Al Kharid it is a lot faster then pottery making. As you progress, you will be able to make all sorts of ranged equipment. You can make boots at level 7 they will give you 16 exp points. You can then make a cowl at level 9 for 18 exp points. Then you can put together a set of vambraces at level 11 for 22 exp points.

You will next start making a soft leather body at level 14 for 25 exp points. After that, you will be able to make leather chaps at level 18 for 27 exp points. You will then start making hard leather bodies at level 28 for 37 exp points each. Finally, you will reach level 38 where you can craft yourself a leather coif for 37 exp points.

Jewelry making is the most complicated of all the item production in the crafting skill. While mining you will find gemstones, you will want to keep these so that you can gain exp points. Once you get back to your bank see if you have a chisel, if not you can run to the nearest general store and pick one up for one gold coin. To cut them select the chisel and then click on the gemstone. Each type of gem will give you exp points as well as a level requirement to cut them.

To cut a Sapphire you will need to have a crafting level of 20 and you will gain 50 exp points per gem. To cut an Emerald you will need to have a crafting level of 27 to gain 67 exp points per gem. Likewise, to cut a Ruby your level will have to be 34 in order to cut it, and then you will receive 85 exp points. Finally, in order to cut a Diamond you will need to have a crafting level of 43 to gain approximately 107 exp points.

To create gold jewelry you will first need to get the materials for you to make a gold bar. First, to mine the gold ore you must have at least level 40 mining. After you have, the ore you need to take it to a furnace and you will need to have at least a smithing level of 40 make it into a bar. After making all your gold bars you will need to gem, if you are making a jeweled item. You will need to cut the gem if it is uncut, or trade cut gems for uncut gems at a bank with another player.

Just make sure that you see the cut gems in the trade window when you offer yours. There is a poplar scam out there where they say they are going to cut your gems for you if you give them all of them, and in return, they keep the gems with out returning them to you. Of course, most players know how to trade the cut gems for the uncut gems, newer players fall for this scam. You will then need to get the mold for the kind of Jewelry you want to make and have it in your inventory when you use the gold bar with the furnace. You will need to select what you want to make after clicking the bar and then the furnace. Furnaces are located in Al Kharid, Falador, and Lumbridge. You can enchant amulets once you have the magic level for it, these now need to have a string made from a ball of wool.

To create Silver Jewelry you will need to get the materials for you to make a silver bar. First, you need to mine silver ore. You can make a holy symbol of Saradomin, or a tiara. To make a holy symbol you will need to have at least level 16 crafting. When you make a symbol, it gives you 50 experience points. After they are enchanted, these holy symbols will make your prayer points last longer. Of course, after you have your silver bars you will need to invest in a holy symbol mold, which you can buy at the Crafting Shop for only five gold coins. Once you have the symbol, you will have to string in order to wear it. Get a Ball of wool, and use it with the Holy Symbol.

Now you can wear the Holy Symbol but it does not give any prayer bonus. If you do not have a ball of wool, you can craft string, just grab a pair of shears at the general store and head out to the sheep just outside Lumbridge. Once you catch a sheep then take the wool to the second floor of the Lumbridge castle. You will find a wool spinning wheel there just select spin wool. Now take your strung symbol and take it to Brother Jered in the Prayer Guild. You will need to have at least level 31 Prayer in order to make it to the second floor of the monastery. He is the only person upstairs in the guild so you just need to click on him in order to talk. Since you have the strung holy symbol in your inventory, he will ask you if you want him to 'Bless' your holy symbol. While he does do this free, he can only bless one at a time so you will need to keep going through the process until all of your symbols have been blessed.

Now we want to make a tiara. Go buy a Tiara mold, at the crafting store. Then you can use it with the furnace just as you have with other jewelry making. It will give you 52 exp. points, but you need to have at least level 23 to make one. Then just take the tiara to a rune crafting alter with the talisman for that alter, click on the alter and the talisman will become one with the tiara.

If you want to make Silver bolts use the same process that you have used with the other silver items. You will need a Bolt Mold, which can be bought in the Al Kharid crafting store. You need to be at least level 21 to make these bolts! You will not level very fast with these though since they only give five exp points each.

Cape dying is the slowest way to gain exp points in crafting. If you go to Aggie (she is in one of the houses in Draynor Village), you can get dyes from her for exchanging items that she needs to make the dye. You will only gain two and a half exp points per cape dyed.

A Guide for a Skill in Runescape

This is one of the best skills in Runescape. It is one of the fastest ways to earn money! At around level 40 you can earn 300k or more per hour!

So, you want to start training Runecrafting? The first thing you need to do is do the Rune Mysteries quest. This teaches you the basics about Runecrafting, and also allows you to begin mining essence.

After doing the quest, you can begin Runecrafting! There are two types of essence: "regular" and "pure". Regular essence is for free to play altars: the elemental ones (earth, wind, fire, water) and the mind and body altars. The rest of the altars are for members only, and those require pure essence. You CAN use pure essence on any altar, but seeing as it is about 138gp each, it is wiser to use the 45gp regular rune essence if you can.

Members: Another thing you need to do is to do the Zammorak Magic miniquest. Begin this by talking to the Zammorak mage north of Edgville; this will allow you to use the Abyss. Even if you can not use the Abyss because your defence level is low, it is good to do the quest as you can go to the center of the Abyss and ask the mage there for a small pouch, which holds 3 essence. There are 3 other pouches, all of which you can slowly begin to obtain as you get your Runecrafting level higher.

To begin Runecrafting, buy an air tiara from the grand exchange (it is less than 1,000gp). After this, go to the Falador East Bank. Using this bank (members, have the small pouch in your inventory and fill it each time you bank), run to the air altar and craft. You may teleport back to Falador or just run back to the bank; the speed is about the same since you loose 3 essence spots if you choose to teleport. Please note that airs average about 14 each and essence is 45 each, so you will loose a little bit, but you will more than make up for it later.

Members: You have a few options once you reach the runecrafting level to craft fire runes. You can use a dueling ring to teleport to the duel arena, run north to the fire altar, and craft fires (using the castle wars bank to bank), or you can continue on the air route. You could also do the Zmi altar, but you loose money that way.

Nonmembers: Continue with airs; this will be your main source of profit. As you get higher Runecrafting levels, you will be able to craft more than one rune per essence, and eventually you will make a profit. This will not be as much as if you were a member, but it is your choice not to pay $5.95 a month.

Members: You have either been training with the air runes or fire runes as I suggested above. You can either begin using the abyss (I recommend 45+ defense; wear dragon hide for defense against the magic attacks) to make the best rune possible (cosmics, chaos, ect). Once you reach 44 runecrafting, if you have the summoning level for a graahk, use it! It is the fastest method for runecrafting out there (for profit). It is even faster than using the abyss with a familiar. Don't forget to get the best pouch possible to add to the pouches you're using as you level! You can make over 300k an hour at 44 or above Runecrafting.

Members: At level 82 Runecrafting, you should switch to making double astrals. Using this method, you can make over 500k an hour! At 91, go back to natures, as you make 2 natures per pure essence; this is the best profit for Runecrafting.

Well, there you go! A guide to Runecrafting! I hope this has helped you; I also hope all of you Woodcutters and Fishers out there switch to Runecrafting; 75 RC beats 99 WC and Fish! I have tested it myself

Happy Runecrafting!
