Getting Your First 99 Skill in Runescape

Getting a skill to level 99 is a daunting task. Here is some advice to help you get there. In runescape, getting a skill to 99 is the ultimate goal. This is a daunting task, but here are some advice to help you get there:

1.Don't watch your experience constantly. Watching as you receive every single experience will simply like its taking longer. Letting the experience build up will mean that when you do level, it will be unexpected and seem more rewarding. If you do look at your experiences, try to limit this to once every couple of hours.

2.Plan ahead. Set out what your going to do before hand and have a plan. This will help you stay focused. If setting small goals, such as training the skill for an hour or so before doing anything else. Splitting training into small parts makes it less tiresome.

3.Take some breaks. Training one skill for a long time is extremely boring. Take some time off to play some mini-games or train other skills. This way, you won't get bored of playing.

For your first 99 skill, most people go for either cooking or fire-making. Here is some information on each.

Cooking

Cooking is arguably the fast skill to train. As a member, training in the Rogues Den will allow you to cook with a fire literally 2 steps away! At high levels, experience is earned extremely fast, with around 200k per hour. This is achieved by mass cooking sharks, with them not burning at level 94 with cooking gauntlets.

Fire-making

Fire-making is the simplest skill. Training it is simple, just burn logs! For most people, this would be willow logs, that are cheap and effective. A good place to train is in the Grand Exchange, where you'll see many people fire-making.

The Runescape Fishing Trawler

Introduction

Runescape Trawler fishing is a fishing styled mini-game, which can be fun either solo or with team mates. It can be found in Port Khazard, north of Yanille and south of Ardougne.

To start the mini-game, you should talk to Murphy at the docks. Please note that a Fishing level of 15 is required to do Trawler Fishing.

In this mini-game you can catch any sea water fish up to your level, and it is the only way for high-level fishermen to catch Sea Turtles and Manta Rays.

What You’ll Need

You should bring the following things when Trawler Fishing:

50 to 60 Swamp Paste. This can be made by collecting Swamp Tar at a swamp like Lumbridge Swamp, using it with flour, and then cooking the uncooked Swamp Tar over a fire. It can also be bought from the General Store at Port Khazard. Swamp Paste is used to repair leaks in the boat.

One Bailing Bucket (Or more). This can be bought at the Port Khazard General Store. It is used to bail water out of the bottom of the boat.

6 to 10 Ropes. These can also be bought at the Port Khazard General Store, as well as a number of other places. These are used to fix the fishing net.

NOTE: Bring friends, alone it is almost impossible!

Trawler Fishing

To start the mini-game, speak to Murphy at the Port Khazard docks and agree to help him. He will make sure a number of times, and then allow you to get onto the boat.

Once the first person gets on the boat, other team members will have one minute to get on as well.

Once you are aboard, you will need to start almost immediately. If the boat starts to leak, try and fill it immediately by clicking on it. Each time you fill a leak you will use one Swamp Paste. When there is a leak, the boat will begin to fill with water. You can tell how much water is in the boat by the bar at the top of your screen. Keep bailing to keep the bar down.

At the top of the screen, you will also be able to see the status of the net. If it is ripped you will need to go to the rear of the boat and climb up the ladder. Click on the net and you’ll fix it, and one rope will disappear from your inventory.

To bail water out of the boat, click on the bailing bucket to fill it up, and then click again to get rid of the water. If the boat gets full of water, you will sink and end up in the water. To get out of the water, click on a floating barrel and you will end up at Port Sarim, and the boat will again be waiting for you at Port Khazard.

Once ten minutes have elapsed, the mini-game is over. When you get back, inspect the net. Here you can choose what you would like to keep, and leave the rest.

Besides,I recommend you buy some cheap runescape gold and cheap runescape accounts, for our website has run gold business for a very long time and shares good delivery reputation. You can come and have a look!

Runescape Slayer Guide

The Slayer skill gives you the ability to kill enemies that would otherwise be unharmed by your attacks, by using Slayer equipment and your experience in the skill. You can begin the Slayer skill at any time by speaking to any of the 5 Slayer Masters, located in different parts of the runescape world:

Turael - East of the bar in Burthorpe.
Mazchna - In the northeast corner of Canifis.
Vannaka - In the Edgeville Dungeon, east of the Wilderness gate.
Chaeldar - South of the entrance to the Lost City of Zanaris.
Duradel - Above the fishing shop in Shilo Village.
If you're having trouble finding a Slayer Master, just look for the Slayer Icon on your map. It would also be wise to start off with the Slayer Master in Burthorpe, as he generally gives easier tasks than the others.

Training Slayer

To train your Slayer skill, you first need to get an assignment from one of the Slayer Masters as described above. They will tell you to kill a certain amount (no more than 200) of a kind of monster, and once you've defeated the required amount you can go back to your Slayer Master and get another assignment.

While on an assignment, you'll receive experience only for defeating the type of monster that has been assigned to you. Killing other monsters that have not been assigned to you will not get you any Slayer experience. The amount of experience you receive from each kill is the same as the number of hitpoints the monster has. If two players attack the same monster, one causing the most damage and the other stiking the final blow, the experience will be split in half between each player.

Some Slayer monsters also require you to use a weapon or other item to defend against their attacks. Be sure to bring this item with you at all times during the assignment, and don't attack Slayer monsters without the appropriate things or you may become overwhelmed and killed.

Slayer monsters drop many unique items that can only be obtained by killing them. These items include Black and White Mystic Robes, Armored Boots, Granite Maul, and the Abyssal Whip, as well as Clue Scrolls for Treasure Trails and assorted herbs.

Alternate Monsters

Sometimes your Slayer Master may be a bit vague as to the type of monster that he wants you to kill. He may generalize and say "Kalphites" or "Dragons," which means that you can kill any monster of that type.

Kalphites - Kalphite Workers or Soldiers.
Dragons - Baby Blue or Red Dragons.
Wolves - White Wolf Mountain Wolves.
Shades - Various Shades found in Mort'ton.
The Enchanted Gem

In Slayer there is a lot of equipment available (details below), but none more necessary than the Enchanted Gem. The Enchanted Gem will enable you to contact the most matched slayer master to your combat level (Vannaka to those below combat level 70, Chaeldar to those between combat level 70 and 100 and Duradel from combat level 100+).

Once you activate the enchanted gem you have the following options

The two most important options are "How am I doing so far?" which will tell you which monster you are killing, and how many you have left to kill of it such as "You're currently assigned to kill Cockatrice, only 85 more to go." The other important option is "Got any tips for me?" Then your slayer master will tell you advice such as "Werewolves are feral creatures, they are strong and tough with sharp claws and teeth"

The other two options "Who are you?" and "Where are you?" are simple questions which let you find out who your slayer master is (not just the name) and where to find him or her to get tasks from them.

Changing Assignments

If you think that a certain assignment is too tough or too boring, you have the ability to change it for another random assignment. At the Burthorpe Slayer Master (Turael), you can change it by asking for a new one. However, there are two snags:

You cannot change Slayer assignments given by Turael.
You cannot change an assignment by another master if the current monster assignment is assigned from Turael's list.

Slayer Masters

Each of the 5 Slayer Masters will give you an assignment with a different level of difficulty, depending on the master that you speak to. Some also have requirements before you are able to get an assignment from them.

Note: The following slayer task lists are by no means all-inclusive; they only detail the most common Slayer tasks.

Runescape Thieving Guide

One of the most fun Members skills in runescape is thieving, as you can find a great number of things to do with the skill. When you first start off you can only enjoy a small part of the countless bounties to be earned from your new-found forte, but as you get more skilled a wider range of things can be done with it. There are several things that you can practice your thieving on as you get better, but remember that you need to be both stealthy and cautious. Each activity has a dangerous part to it, from a not-so-tough Man stunning you, to a Knight attacking you with full force.

Helpful Drinks

Every thief should start his (or her) day off with a frosty glass of Bandit's Brew! This drink temporarily increases your Thieving level by 1 when you drink it, and you can buy one for 650gp at the Desert Bandit Camp.

Picking Pockets

By far, pick-pocketing a character in the game is a great way to begin thieving. For a beginner thief, NPC's will give plenty of experience so that you can move on to more difficult ways to thieve. Not all characters in the game can be pick-pocketed but many can, so check the Pick-Pocketing Chart for more info about these characters.

Your First Lesson

Begin by finding a Man or Woman and right-clicking him or her. Choose the Pickpocket Man option, and you will try and steal from him. If you're quick enough, you will pocket a few coins, but if he catches you trying to steal from him you will get hit and stunned for several seconds.

Depending on the character you steal from, you could get different amounts of coins, or even various items such as Runes or weapons. However, the higher the level required to pickpocket them, the harder it will be to steal from them, and the chance of getting caught will be greater.

Looting Market Stalls

Stealing from the various market stalls in Ardougne, Ape Atoll, Rellekka, Etceteria and Micellania is one of the best aspects of thieving. You can steal anything from delicious cakes and pies, to shiny pieces of silver and valuable emeralds and rubies. Of course, the marketplace is heavily guarded by the stall owner, guards and knights. If the stall owner catches you, he will call over the guards and they will attack you!

How to Steal

When a stall has loot in it, you will see exactly what you can steal. To steal from a stall, you can either just click "Steal From Market Stall,"or you can right-click to bring up a menu of options. Even if you see a group of people stealing from a stall, you have a good chance of looting it as long as you click fast enough. Everyone has a chance to loot the stall at the same time!

Stealing from a stall may sound easy, and on a good day it is, but those pesky guards are always on the lookout. It's best to hide behind the stalls, on the side facing away from the guards. Since they can't see what's happening on the other side of the stall, you're safe… except for the Knights. You just have to watch for them, and as they approach you, stop thieving.

Notes

Any stalls found on Ape Atoll can only be thieved from after completing the Monkey Madness Quest.
Any stalls on Miscellania and Etceteria can only be thieved from after finishing the Fremennik Trials Quest.

Unlocking Doors

Sometimes you may come across a locked door inside of a building. Of course, a key would be helpful but what if there isn't one that belongs to the door? Well, that's when you use your thieving skill to pick the lock and get inside, and to a good thief it's a cinch to get in.

To attempt to pick the lock of a door, just right-click it and select "Pick Lock Door."If you have enough experience at thieving you will open the door and enter inside.Once a door has been opened, you don't have to pick the lock again to leave. Remember though, that you'll need to pick the lock again to go back inside after you leave.

A Lockpick can be of great use to any thief. You can steal them from Rogues, and they allow you to open doors that would normally require a higher thieving level. By picking a lock with it in your backpack, you may have an easier time opening doors as well. You may also need to have a Lockpick in order to open some doors.

Disarming Traps

Not only does your thieving skill give you the ability to steal things, but it also allows you to disarm a trap on a staircase or treasure chest. A trap could poison you, teleport you, or cause other damage, but by disarming the trap you can easily access the treasure in the chest, or walk up the stairs.

To disarm a trap on a treasure chest, you need to right-click it and choose "Search for Traps Chest."To disable a trap on a staircase, select "Investigate Stairs"to find the trap. Be careful, because the trap will be reset later on.

After you search a treasure chest for a trap, you will open it up and look for any treasure. Some chests contain coins, while other may have Runes or other items inside.

Ranged Training in Runescape

Start training ranged. Food isn’t really necessary here as you will be fighting in safe spots a lot, but it wouldn’t hurt to take several foods for the those trips back to the bank, when you have to leave your safe spot. Take out from your bank, your Amulet of Power, Oak Shortbow, Willow Shortbow, Maple Shortbow and Bronze Arrows. Equipt the Amulet of Power, Oak Shortbow and Bronze Arrows.Go to the Chicken Coop and train on Chickens until level 20 ranged. Always pick up most of your arrows. Arrows are quite expensive if you are a low level player. If you wish, you may want to collect the chicken drops, such as the feathers (stackable) for fletching and fishing or the raw chicken for leveling up your cooking level or the bones if you wish to get up your prayer level.

Once at level 20 ranged, equip your Willow Shortbow and train on cows. Remember again, to pick up your arrows. You may wish to pick up the cow hides to sell for 100gp+ each, the bones for prayer,or the raw meat for cooking.

Once level 30, you are ready to move on from the Cows. Head to the Dwarven Mine and find the scorpions. There should be a few rocks (near some stairs) which you can use as a safe spot. Picking up arrows is optional here as you may get attacked by scorpians if you leave the safe spot. Scorpions do not drop anything.

At level 40 Ranged, there are three monsters you can train on, Hill Giants, white knights, or you can continue to kill scorpions. Hill Giants are located in Edgeville sewers or you can access the direct Hill Giants lair (Near Varrock) with a brass key. These monsters are level 28. There should be a safe spot at the end of the lair. Again, you may or may not wish to pick up your arrows. Hill Giants give you best drops out of all the monsters you have trained on. Big Bones can be sold for 400-500gp each and if your lucky they may occasionally drop Limpwurts used for herblore or sold for 600-700gp each.

When you reach 60 Ranged, you may wish to stop or have a break from leveling up your ranged. If you you wish to continue to 60+ Ranged it’s suggested to go to Karajama and train on Lesser Demons. These babies are level 82 and hit 8’s, but don’t worry there is a couple of safe spots. Lesser’s drop runes, runescape gold(up to 600gp),very rarely rune medium helmets, and other worthwhile items. Here you should pick up your arrows and drops as the lessers are very slow at reacting.

Runescape Barrows Guide

This is one of the best borrower’s guides which will provide you with information relating to equipments, stats and all other forms of quests. The users should be possessing level 70 including 50 or higher for strength and 60 or higher for defense. The range should be above 60.

Getting hold of the rune kite, plates and legs can be very helpful if the layer does not have the rune armor, barrows or the dragon armor. Full mystic possibly the split bark is advised of the player showcase low defense. The ranged amour can be accompanied with legs and the body. Some of the other equipments which can be brought along include magical element staff ancient staff and the slayer staff.

One of the most important things to be brought includes a spade. Most of the players cannot go through the barrows without a spade. 10000 gold, crystal bow, hide body, black dragon, glory ammy, 100 to 500 noted sharks with 5 or more noted ones should also be included. Some of the quests required and recommended for barrows include ghosts ahoy for lower level mages or while using regular spells, nature spirit for players who have not done the Myreque quest and the priest in the peril.

The people out there who have been a member for a long time have an advantage to get treasure trail clue. In order to get the treasure all that has to be done is to kill atleast 6 brothers. These brothers give the players a real tuff time and are extremely tuff to kill. The names of the brothers include Ahrim, Dharok, Guthen, Veracs, Torag and Karil. The player is needed to kill 5 of the brothers in the crypt while the last one has to be killed n the tunnels. Moving forward the player now has to get into the barrows. Move towards the Canifis bank and get hold of the supplies.

Now simply head towards south and get to the fence, on the eastern side watch for the door. After crossing the door turn on the run more and head towards south. After getting through the broken path you can again get back to the walk mode. Always try and stay on the eastern side while the players who are in the grey grounds would head towards northern trails. Take the northern path and move towards Mortton. Head towards west where you can get hold of the transportation spot, get over the bridge and finally into the big place.

First kill the mage brother so you do not have to use the spell more frequently. The hardest brother is Dharok who can be found near the stairs. Just move towards the next hill and then to north east where lies the hill dig. Before searching for the crypt it will be good to get the full prayer and setting the spell. Turning on the melee protection is also essential. After preparation Dharok can be killed. All the other brothers can be easily killed in any other order.

James’ Ultimate F2P Woodcutting Guide

Hey Members! I decided to write this guide because i used to look around sites scanning for a good one. Gradually – as i became a better woodcutter, i realised these guides were written by people who probably had not even achieved 60 woodcutting, and had just stolen the basic idea from countless other guides. So, I am writing this guide as a level 93 woodcutter to assist you with very detailed step-by-step runescape guide.

Setting Out

So you want to make money from Woodcutting? Well, it will take a while to start to rake the money in. The money maker is obviously Yews, they sell almost instantaneously and for the mid-max price on the Grand Exchange.

However, before reaching these high priced Logs, willows need to be cut. And they do NOT sell at all. So do not expect to be making a profit immediately.

To Set out on your journey, New player, or experienced. You will need a Hatchet:

Bronze Hatchet – A Woodcutting level of 1 is required

Iron Hatchet – A Woodcutting level of 1 is required

Steel Hatchet – A Woodcutting level of 6 is required

Black Hatchet – A Woodcutting level of 6 is required

Mithril Hatchet – A Woodcutting level of 21 is required

Adamant Hatchet – A Woodcutting level of 31 is required

Runite Hatchet – A Woodcutting level of 41 is required

The better the woodcutting hatchet you can purchase, the greater the chance of obtaining logs from a tree is.

The Trees

Appearance Name Level Experience
Normal Tree 1 25
Oak Tree 15 37.5
Willow Tree 30 67.5
Yew Tree 60 175

The Start of the Beginning

So You’ve just picked up Woodcutting, or just off Tutorial Island, and you have a hatchet handy. While your in Lumbridge, talk to the Woodcutting tutor, and he will tell you about the different trees found around Runescape. And if you do not already have one, a free bronze Hatchet and tinderbox. You can choose to discard the tinderbox unless you wish to level your fire-making up at the same time!

Level 1-15

So, Bronze hatchet in hand, and tinderbox (Optional depending on whether you want to burn the logs as you go) you need to start chopping down trees. As indicated previously, Normal trees are the only thing here, so you will need to chop 97 normal logs.

There is a variety of Locations you could chop at, since normal logs grow all over Runescape. A favourite spot is just behind Lumbridge castle since there is a general store to sell the logs in. Although this is a possibility, a lot of new players are found in this area and may steal your trees as they only yield one log each. Another is just west of Varrock outside the Gates. This time, there is a bank nearby to bank the logs or a nice long path to burn them on! 97 normal logs should bring you up to Level 18 Fire-making!
Equally, south of the Grand-Exchange there is a small wood which has a number of trees with a small amount of people most of the time.

Otherwise, cutting anywhere in the F2P world will be near a source of normal wood. Sometimes they are named differently, For example in the wilderness, normal tree’s are called ‘Dead Trees’ which still yield the same experience (25 Exp a Log) and logs.

Tip: Its best to find an area with little people around. This is because a normal tree only has 1 log in it, and may be taken by someone else if there are too many of you.

15-30

Congratulations! Now you can cut Oak trees! These yield slightly more Exp at 37.5 per log. 293 Oak Logs or 439 Normal Logs are needed to reach level 30. Obviously, normal trees can be continued with for a while and then you may change to oak trees.

Oak tree’s are much less abundant that normal trees, and react much differently to Normal Trees. Instead of 1 logs per tree, an Oak tree gives up far more. So you won’t have to switch tree so often, and it allows for more than 1 person to cut a tree at once. Now you can start to chat! Thus making time go quicker!

This can cause some issues, as higher level woodcutters cutting the tree your on may steal all the logs. I would recommend sticking to normal logs until you can cut oaks slightly quicker (around 25 Woodcutting) However, the few of you that want to move onto bigger and better things can cut oaks if you want.

Favoured Oak Locations are once again behind the general store in Lumbridge so that they can be sold. And once again west of Varrock due to the bank and fire-making space.
Oaks can also be found north of the bank a little just south of the Grand Exchange (another handy bank/selling point.) Also now, you can cut them east of the bank in Draynor. Cutting here sets you up nicely for when you hit 30, and there is also a bank very close by.

For a mixture, you can cut in the forests east of Draynor (North of the Swamp) which contains both normal trees and oaks.

30-60

In many ways this is the most tedious. As there is 30 levels and 260k Experience until you can cut yews. That’s 3,858 willows. A general tip is to continue with the previous tree for a few levels just to be able to cut the new tree quicker. I advise this strongly. Sticking with Oaks here can be beneficial since you may not get many willows to begin with. Staying by Draynor is good.

If you want to get right in there. A busy spot for willows is Draynor, by the water. This tends to be very busy since it is within clicking distance of a bank. I would advise avoiding Draynor for a while (Until about 45 woodcutting) And going to a much more quiet place.

South of Rimmington has quite an amount of yews and a general store nearby, so you can sell them/burn them. This is also the best place to cut if you are not at all worried about selling them – therefore allowing you to drop them on the spot. This is the fastest Exp/hour as there are rarely people, and you don’t need to move to bank or sell!

Another little spot is near Port Sarim. If you find the Jail in the south, and go west you shall find several willows. Normally there is no-one here! I recommend dropping or burning them if you decide to cut here, as there is no bank for a while – the closest being Draynor/Falador.

60-99

You’ve Done it! Or have you?

Yew tree’s are very popular, since they are the only thing a F2P like yourself can cut, and they sell for large amount of money to fletchers, fire-makers and construction teams on members worlds! As a result, nearly every yew tree in the F2P world will have on average 3 people around it. It is recommended that you continue with Willows (which you should be very quick with now) until around 70-80 woodcutting. At least then you may stand a chance of even getting some logs. By Level 60 is should be safe to cut in Draynor with a reasonable amount of logs given.

Then, there are many places to choose from. Edgeville is normally suited to not so high woodcutters. Occasionally a high level will be there, but more often then not they are at another location (which we will get into shortly)

Edgeville is suitable because there are 2 trees, and a bank within a good range away. However, Falador is equally good in the long term. South of Falador are 3 trees, this time with the bank slightly further away. There is little in terms of time it takes for an inventory.

If you must start from level 60 cutting yews, Falador is recommended, but if you have no luck there, there are 2 lone trees. One in Lumbridge Graveyard. The closest bank to that is at the top of Lumbridge castle. So not many higher levels cut there, and very few lower levels, however it is good for the people who just want to cut a few inventories quickly and go. The next is north of the museum in east Varrock. The bank is much closer, which is the eastern Varrock bank. This tends to have 1 or 2 people around it due to the close proximity of the bank.

The final location is for the best woodcutters around in F2P. Generally, there are 6-10 people there within the range of 80-99 woodcutting. North of Varrock, behind the castle is normally packed. It has 3 yews which are pretty close together which after cutting them all, seem to spawn very quickly again. The bank is very nearby at the Grand Exchange. To stand a chance getting many logs at all, i recommend 85 woodcutting. This is the best F2P spot to cut yews. However, it can become one of the worst depending on the amount of people trying to get logs (The biggest ruck i was ever in was 17 people). Remember: Wear Light! The run between trees and back, and then to the bank can drain your run quickly.

The best method here is cutting willows until 75, commencing with yews at Edgeville until 85 – then taking on North of Varrock Castle.

Unfortunately, that’s it. You must cut yews until Level 99 in F2P. Don’t be frightened that Level 92 – Level 99 is roughly the Same Exp over again from Level 1 – Level 91! Just set yourself a target of enough yews to buy something and you’ll soon get a nice high level! Mine was the God armours!

Good Luck on 99 Woodcutting!

Tips

Chatting to the people around trees can cause time to fly.
At 85 Woodcutting, stop looking at Exp To go, it will just annoy you
If there are too many people, switch worlds.
Wear very light clothing when cutting yews – as they are sometimes far apart and from the bank
Try to sell a large amount of yews at a time, and not in small bundles.

Woodcutting in Runescape is one of the most popular skills i...

Woodcutting in Runescape is one of the most popular skills in the game. Woodcutting is a skill that costs very little Runescape gold to get started. As a matter of fact you don't need gold to start woodcutting. All you need is an axe bronze or iron at first and you can make axes with the smelting skill or you can just buy one for a few runescape gold at the market place.

Woodcutting is one of the easiest skills to level in Runescape. All it takes is time and patience to level up this skill. Woodcutting is beneficial in many ways. You can use it to make materials for bows and arrows, witch works on another skill called fletching, or you can use the logs to build up another skill called fire making. Last but not least you can just woodcut to sell logs to people that are working on their fletching skill, though this is not profitable until you are able to cut yew trees. Yew logs sell for 350 gold each.

When a player starts woodcutting the levels increase very fast. I suggest you find trees that are somewhat close to a bank. This way you can just bank the logs you cut and wait until you have a large amount (over a thousand) and decide what you are going to do with them.

One thing to keep in mind while woodcutting, is that you should always get the best axe you can use at that time. Having the best axe will increase the speed at which you cut the logs. Also as you increase levels you can cut different trees. You will want to switch to trees the same way you do axes. As soon as something better is available use until you reach willow trees.

Willows trees are what you are going to train on till level 65. You will want to cut willows because it is very quick experience. I know you can cut maple trees which give more experience per log but it takes longer to cut than willows so you actually make more experience per hour if you cut willows and as a result level up faster.

After you reach level 65 you can move on to cutting yew trees. This is where the runescape money is. I can cut a thousand yews in a few hours and then sell them at the grand exchange for 350k gold or more depending on the demand at the time. Let me warn you yews are a slow process at first but stick with it. It will get better.

How to Get Good Runecrafting in RuneScape

Runecrafting is a long, involved skill, which is fairly hard to master. It is very useful after the 60’s and 70’s. This wiki should be able to help you level it up a lot. This is for free players also, I got 54 Runecrafting as a Free Player anyway. So….How do you even runecraft? Well runecrafting is one of the most complicated skills, yet the most rewarding almost. It is basically making the runes that mages and others use in runescape everyday. But, the more expensive the runes, the higher the level you need to make them. This is how to achieve a good runecrafting level in runescape.

Also, by doing that, you can become VERY rich.

First off, you need to do a quest. It is very simple and straightforward and it’s called Rune Mysteries - if you need help please go to Runehq.com, which helps for quests.

Once that quest is done, mine some rune essence. You will know how by the end of the rune mysteries quest how to teleport to mine rune essence (Also, rune essence is great for selling in bulk for runecrafters).

You should have an air talisman from rune mysteries. Click locate on the talisman and it should tell you a direction to go to. You will end up just south of Falador’s eastern bank (by the mining guild) and just North of Port Sarim.

You will find yourself in front of some rocks, that will be called ancient ruins, or something like that.

Use the air talisman with the big altar thing, and you will see the text in your chat box “You feel a great power grip you.” And you will be teleported to a giant hill with hundreds of trees around you. In the center of the hill you will see a giant stone slab that has the air rune symbol etched into it. This is where you craft runes. Now, you should mine some rune essences. 422 of them to be exact, which will be relatively quick. You can also buy them but mining will be much smarter since you will make no profit by buying them.

Now, once you have you 422 rune essences, buy a tiara. All you have to do to make it go by a bit faster is go to the air altar, use your tiara with the big stone slab in the center (make sure you have the air talisman), and it will turn into an air tiara (your talisman will disappear). Now, all you have to do is wear it and click on the ruins instead of using the talisman with the ruins. Also, it will give you an extra space.

Now, craft all of this essence, and you will level up very quickly in the beginning. You will level up about each load until maybe level 5. Once you reach level 11 you will notice you make double the amount of air runes to the amount of essence you are carrying.

After you are done you will have 572 air runes. You can sell these at about 11 a piece. That means that you have just made 6.2k in just a little bit. This is a great idea for low levels trying to get money. Now, you can make fire runes.

You are 14 runecrafting! Nice! And so the leveling system begins…

Levels 14-27

And so…you have progressed unto the stage of free players and members versions of runecrafting. After this part, there will be two ways to get runecrafting up. The member’s way, and the free player’s way.

Now, you are 14 runescrafting. You are going to get 27 runecrafting, you will need 7623 xp. This means about 1089 rune essence. PLEASE! Be patient enough to mine this! It will only take about 1-2 hours, since rune essence mining is very quick.

Now, you need to go to Al Kharid. You will need a fire talisman also, and if you press locate you will eventually end up just north of the dueling arena entrance. Fire runes are 7 xp each, so you will be getting 196 xp per load. (Remember to make a fire tiara, same thing as air tiara.)

Ok. These are the member and free player options now!

Now this is the free player option. You will need all of your essence noted in your inventory. Bring with you about 5k, or all the money you made from your air runes. Now, all you have to do is sell 26 rune essences to the general store which is just south of the fire altar. Buy these rune essences back very quickly. (Note: Your money will go down, but you will not lose too much. You can sell the fire runes back for more than double the cash you used)

Repeat this until all of your rune essence is gone. You are now 27 runecrafting, Gratz.

Members option!

This is a good option if you do not want to use runescape money, but the above option is faster. The duel arena bank is very close so that would be a good bank to use to store your runes and get you essence. Keep doing this until your done, and Gratz. 27 runecraft.

Now, please, sell these runes. You will easily make about 14k off of them. Your Welcome.

Now, I think I should start with the free players first. Yeah, you can’t make cosmic runes. Sorry, but its okay, I have some ideas.

Well, to be honest, the best xp you can get is body runes. But, body runes are useless. So, they sell for little money. But, my friend, this is where the rubber hits the road until you bet some REAL money.

So, please, start off mining your essence. This is the last time you will mine essence, so be happy. Mine 1136 rune essence. Keep your clicking finger ready, and when your done, walk to edgeville. (You will need a body talisman, which are VERY easy to find. People will give you one if you ask. Trust me.) Now, make a tiara like you did your fires and airs.

The altar you want is just to the west of the barbarian village in the middle of the woods. You will see it, and then go inside. (It is one of the most interesting altars to me.)

Craft ALL of those runes and then you will be 33 runecrafting. Congratulations, say goodbye to mining rune essence.

Member’s way.

First..you will need to do the quest Lost City, which is relatively short and gives rights to wielding dragon longswords and daggers, and access to the Cosmic altar! You may want 46 or 66 agility to make it faster, but is not required. Okay, you will need to get 44 runecrafting. You DO NOT WANT TO CRAFT CHAOS RUNES!!! It is long and tiring, since the altar is a maze (Literally, not joke. It’s a freaking maze.) It takes about 10 minutes for one load…

Now, the altar is very quick to find, and you may want to buy your rune essence. But, rune essence has now turned into PURE rune essence. You have to buy it for more each, at around 80 each. It’s going to be kind of expensive, but you can easily mine it but you have to have 30 mining. Anyway, you will somehow have to get 5740 PURE rune essences.

Get your cosmic talisman, which is more expensive then your basic rune talismans that you were getting. Make a tiara, and begin the long journey. This is, as was the member version, where the rubber hits the road. Its goign to be a while til’ you get lots of money. As the saying goes, No pain, No gain.

Now that you’ve crafted them all, you’re 44 runecrafting. Nice.

Free players!

If you are going to be a free player forever, then runecrafting isn’t too important, but it is a huge money maker even still. Now that you’re 33 runecraft, you can quadruple the amount of airs you make out of essence.

So, somehow you had to sell your body runes (the Grand Exchange works best) Nice job my man, the rune essence mining spot is now a thing of the past to you. (Unless you like it…THAT much.)

Well, I am not sure of the price of rune essence, but buy as much as you can on the Grand exchange, and make air runes. Make all of the airs into air runes, and sell for the basic price. You pretty much quadruple the price you bought your runes for. You will make about 100 air runes at a time, and you can sell them for loads of money. Since there is no FAST way to get it up in the free worlds, this is the FAST way to make money in free worlds instead. Every 11 levels that you go up means you added to the amount that you multiply your essence by to get you air runes. So, at 44 runecrafting, you quintruple you amount, at 55 you sextuple, and 66….on and on and on…. You’ll be rich. Keep doing this and you can very easily become a millionaire.

Members version.

Ahh…Nature runes…These babies require no quest at all. The talisman is a bit expensive but you can handle it. Now you need to do the same thing you did for the Al Kharid fire runes here. There is a shop just north of a little tribe. Carry your essences with you (plus about 50k), sell to the shop, then buy back very quickly. Your goal is now 54 runecrafting though, and this is going to be the hardest time of all of the runecrafting stages.

They are not known for this, but I call these next 10 levels, the terrible ten. You are going to get BORED!!!! You will be very bored. Now here are the numbers, Good LUCK!

You will be making nature runes. If you buy all the rune essence you need, you will get about 840k to buy all the essence. That means you need 10581 rune essence! THAT’S A LOT! (Please join the clan chat Entrana99 for entertainment during the training.)

DO NOT try to get that much if you do not have that much. If you do have that much, buy that essence. Otherwise, get enough to buy about 1k rune essence. Once you make 1k nature runes, you profit skyrockets! You now have 260k after selling these nature runes. Buy all the essence you can afford and sell those after you make nature runes out of them. Keep doing this until you have 54 runecrafting. Now comes the CHA CHING! Gratz :)

Okay, if you made all that essence into nature runes when you had the runescape money to get all the essence at one time, you have over 2.7 mil. Nice. If you didn’t buy all them at one time, you still have a lot of money. Now go spend it. You don’t need it, unless you really want to make nature runes for more money. But, laws are not fast to make, and they only give good cash but not good numbers in short time. But, they give AMAZING xp. That is why I suggest that you join the Teal Clan of world 99. They are a clan that people give their essences to for law runes. You don’t even need to give them rune essences back. You level up very quickly. Do this until maybe 59 runecrafting and then its back to money.

You have 59 runecraft, eh? NICE!!

You can double comic runes now. They go for 150 ea, which is even more than nature runes. A good idea to start off with is to get about 2k pure essence, then craft it all. (46 agility suggested, it goes much faster, trust me.) You have…Four…THOUSAND cosmic runes. That is pretty much the same thing as…Six…HUNDRED-THOUSAND!!! Dollars. My suggestion? Buy 6k Pure ess. That means that you have about 120k extra for maybe that new berserker helm…granite shield…AND Dragon dagger (p++). Nice, huh?

Now…craft them all again. You will have 12,000 cosmic runes!
AMAZING!!!!! NOW SELL THEM! Or! try the mage training arena just north of the duel arena. It gives good xp…but I think I’ll take the money :)

So now you have 1.8 MILLION gp. What to do? It would be smart to continue doing this. You get level ups, and very fast cash. Eventually though, maybe if you hit 70 after doing this, you will be looking for more….Well…keep reading…..

Remember the teal clan? You are still in the clan…train your runecrafting like crazy there! Keep going! Yes! Until you are 91 runecrafting.

You will need to make 543706 law runes (its hard to keep track when people are running for you) You will not make any runescape money.

This will be the hardest and longest part if you do this. But, once you hit 91 runecrafting, 520k per hour ain’t shabby?

You will have millions in no time. You will have noobs begging all over for you! You will have whips…dragon armour…so many dragon weapons you’ll be giving them away! And it’s all because of runecrafting.

HAPPY RUNECRAFTING!

This is a boring skill at times. Don’t give up too quickly, because you WILL get runescape gold later. When you get Level 25 Runecrafting and are a member, do the Abyss mini-quest and get the pouch. It helps runecrafting go a little faster.

Runescape Weapons Guide

Runescape Weapons Guide
There are many skills and over one hundred quests you can do in Runescape – you can make many new friends and have Runescape adventures with your friends. This guide talks about one of the most important features of the game: Runescape combat and its weapons.

Basics of Runescape Combat
First off, there are three main types of combat; Melee, Magic, and Range (archery to some). Some people prefer only one of these skills while others prefer to train up two or all three of the skills. These three types of combat have their own advantages and disadvantages that are represented in the Runescape combat triangle.

The combat triangle is the situation where melee has good defense and offense against Range because arrows easily bounce off that hard, bulky metal and swords can easily cut through soft durable leather. Rangers will have the upper-hand again mages users because arrows can easily pierce those thin robes and magic is deflected against leather and dragon-hide. Magic users (commonly known as mages) will normally be seen trying to fight a warrior because magic can be shot from longer distances than arrows and the armor has a very weak magic defense and is much heavier than the light robes that mages where allowing them to run for longer. All types of combat also have their own styles to use for accurate, aggressive, or defensive measures.

Best Runescape Weapons
What people perceive to be the “best Runescape weapons” largely comes down to personal preference and also depends on how much you play Runescape training your combat and what sort of stats your characters has which can vary greatly from player to player. More attacks and weapons can be used the higher your level in a particular combat skill. Let’s start with melee:

Runescape Melee Weapons
First time fighters will have level one attack. This is the only skill required for wielding weapons, but people try to raise their strength, or they will only hit low amounts of damage. At level one attack you can wield only bronze and iron weapons. Both are very inexpensive, but at the same time are not very good weapons.

At level five attack, you will find you can now wield some stronger steel weapons. These are still quite inexpensive.
At level 10 attack, the black weapons are opened up to you. These are the first of two metal weapons (and the only free member weapon) that can’t be made using the smithing skill. While inexpensive, they are harder to find as few stores sell black items.
At level 20 you can use the mithril (also known as “mith”) weapons! These are sometimes the last type of weapon in a store, but some won’t stop here. Still not expensive, but they are not cheap either for beginning players.
At level 30 you can use adamant (also know as “addy”) swords and the like. Addy weapons are more expensive for some players and are the last free member (F2P) weapons sold in normal stores.
Once you have reach level 40 attack and can use the best Runescape free to play weapons – Rune! Rune weapons are quite expensive and there is only one shop that sells them in free member, the champions guild which is south-west of Varrock. They can also be bought from other players and be smithed by high level smithers.
The best weapon in Runescape for free members is Rune scimitars (also known as “scimmys”). These scimitars are fast and accurate yet still relatively powerful. Some people also prefer two-handers (aka “2h”) – this weapon that cannot be used with a shield as they require two hand to wield so they leave you slightly more prone to damage and they are fairly inaccurate yet they make up for all this by packing a big punch. Other people often like to opt for the battle axe (also know as a “baxe”). These weapons are stronger but slower than the scimitar, yet and are faster but weaker than the two-hander. They can also be used with a shield.

Runescape Range Weapons
Range is the simplest combat form, the least expensive, and the fastest and most accurate. All you need is a bow and arrows and it requires two hands. At different levels of range you can use different bows and arrows. There are long bows and short bows. Short bows are preferred as they are faster and more lightweight while the longbow can shoot farther distances. There are also crossbows and their bolts which I will go over later.

At level one range you can use a normal short or long bow and bronze or iron arrows.
At level 5 range you can use oak bows and steel arrows.
At level 20 range you can use willow bows and mithril arrows.
At level 30 you can use maple bows and adamant arrows. These are the highest range weapons you can use as a free member.
For level 40 range you are allowed to use yew bows and rune arrows.
At 50 range you can use magic bows and any arrows.
An alternative to wooden bows and arrows, you can use crossbows and bolts. Their advantage is being one handed, meaning you can use a shield. The disadvantage is being slower, heavier, and harder to make. Free members can only use two crossbows, the regular crossbow and the phoenix crossbow, both requiring level one range and only being able to use bronze bolts. Bolts can also be fitted with gem tips.Paying members (P2P) can use bronze crossbows at level one. From there:

Blurite crossbows and bolts can be used at level 16 range.
At 26 range, iron crossbows and bolts can be used.
The Dorgeshuun crossbow requires 28 range and can use bone and iron bolts with out gem tips.
At 31 range, the steel crossbow and bolts can be acquired.
Mithril crossbows and bolts are used at level 36 range.
Once 46 range, a ranger can use adamant crossbows and arrows.
Finally, the rune crossbow and bolts can be used once level 61 range.
Most rangers use the best bow they can use at their range level. The arrows they use depend on how much money they want to spend buying or making them. Most people training prefer iron and steel arrows, but while “player-killing” (also known as Runescape Pking), most rangers will use the best arrows they can.

Runescape Magic Weapons
Probably the most favored combat skill for player-killing and quite complex for the game of Runescape. While magic can be used for fighting, it can also be used for other uses such as teleporting, changing the appearance of some items, helping others, and much more! While there are no magic level requirements for using different magical objects, you need magic levels to use different spells. Since this guide is about combat and weapons, we will only go over spells and items that can be used to fight:

Runescape Staffs
Magic only requires one hand so a shield can be wielded. You can buy staffs in staff shops or from other people. The staffs are Battlestaff (P2P), Staff, Magic Staff, Elemental Staffs (Air, Water, Earth, Wind, and Fire; have unlimited amount of runes for the type of staff it is, e.g. fire staffs have unlimited amounts of fire runes) Lava Battlestaff (has unlimited amounts of earth and fire runes and is P2P), and the Mud Battlestaff (unlimited water and earth runes and is P2P). Staffs can be used for melee but are very weak. Battlestaffs are much stronger for melee. All staffs can be set to auto-cast spells.

Runescape Runes
Runes can be bought from magic stores, other players, or made. Most runes are for F2P and include Elemental runes, body runes, mind runes, cosmic runes, chaos runes, nature runes, death runes, and law runes. P2P runes also include blood runes, soul runes, astral runes (required for lunar magic, which we will go over later), and combination runes; a mixture of two elemental runes (thus saving an inventory space). The only runes not used for some type of fighting are nature, astral, and law runes. The runes required to attack and do damage to other players includes mind runes (strikes), chaos runes (bolts), death runes (blasts), and blood runes (waves).

Runescape Magic Spells
Strikes are the weakest of the spells. You need to be level 13 magic to use all the strike; air being weakest, then water, earth, and fire being the strongest.
Bolts are slightly stronger and used more for training. At level 35 magic, all bolts can be used.
Blasts – Blasts are the strongest F2P spells and all of them can be used at level 59 magic.
Waves – The strongest of the spells for normal magic, all waves can be used at level 75 magic.
Different Types of Runescape Magic
There are 3 different types of magic – Normal (F2P), Ancient Magicks (P2P), and Lunar (P2P). Normal magic is the starter magic and is used for aggressive and non-aggressive uses. Ancient Magicks requires a quest and is more aggressive with a few teleports. These spells are very strong, but also quite expensive in runes. Lunar Magics also requires a skills but is has no aggressive attacks and even has spells to help other people! It requires astral runes for all spells.

Runescape Special Weapons – Dragon Weapons
Dragon weapons, and almost all special weapons, are P2P only. All Dragon weapons require a quest to acquire them and level 60 attack to equip them. They are red in color and have their own special attacks. Special attacks can be used by clicking the fighting style menu and highlighting the green bar at the bottom. When in combat, you will use that items special ability and drain part of your special energy bar. When your bar is empty, special attacks can no longer be used until the bar has recharged.

Other special Runescape weapons include:

Abbysal Whip – transfers 10% of your opponents energy to you.
Granite Maul – Instantly attacks enemy even if you just attacked them
Excalibur – Raises your defense temporarily by 10%
Seercullbow – Inflicts damage plus reduces the magic level by the number of damage inflicted
Darklight – Reduces an opponent’s attack, strength, and defense
Magic Longbow- An accurate shot that will definitely inflict damage
Magic Shortbow – Two quick arrow shots, but will hit with less accuracy
Crystal Bow – Does not have a special attack but is 80% more accurate than a magic longbow and hits higher than rune arrows and it does not use ammo
Rune Throwing Axes – Will hit many enemies in a multi-combat zone
Rune Claws – Temporarily increases strength and attack for that hit, but slower
Rod of Ivandis – Captures a Vampyre Juvinate that has low health (1/3), allowing you to use a Guthix Balance potion on it
Bone Dagger – Lowers opponents defence by the amount of damage you inflict. Has a very good chance of hitting an unsuspecting opponent
Dorgeshuun Crossbow – Same as bone dagger

Runescape Weapon: Dragon Dagger

The Dragon Dagger can only be worn after completing the Lost City quest. The Dragon Dagger has the following stats:

Attack Bonuses
Stab: +40
Slash: +25
Crush: -4
Magic: +1

Defense Bonuses
Magic +1

Other Bonuses
Strength: +40

Attack Styles
Stab (Accurate, Stab)
Lunge (Aggressive, Stab)
Slash (Aggressive, Slash)
Block (Defensive, Stab)

My Thoughts:
The Dragon Dagger is similar in stats to a rune scimitar and can be bought for a similar price, to boot. The weapon features a special attack, called puncture, that strikes the opponent two times in quick succession, making it more useful than the scimmy.

The dagger also has the useful capability to be poisoned, making it useful for starting fights with. You can hit your opponent with it, poison them, then switch to a more powerful weapon.

The dragon dagger really is a throwaway weapon despite its capacity to be poisoned. You can feel free to use this in pk fights to poison your opponent without fear of losing something much more expensive. You should remember though, that you’ll need a cut diamond to buy another from the lost city of Zanaris.

As a Runescape online player , sometimes you may need to buy rs gold  or want to cheap rs gold.If you have no time to earn rs gold and level up your character, you can buy it from our website .The price is low.If you believe us, we will try our best to help you .

Economics of training Runescape skills

I am often asked what is the cheapest way to train a certain skill, this is not as straight forward as it sounds, for example you may think that big bones are cheaper to get 99 prayer because they are cheaper than dragon bones, willows are cheaper to train fire making than maples, yews or magic logs or cooking trout is cheaper than cooking lobsters or sharks, this may well be the truth but there is a lot to take into consideration before you decide the cheapest route.

You need to work out what the most expensive commodity in Runescape is, this is not as straight forward as it might seem, if you have low level stats then it is generally the best thing that you can make or collect, if you have medium to high level stats the the most expensive commodity is often time.

Let me explain, these examples are made up numbers used to demonstrate my reasoning but they are not far off being correct at current prices.

Willows cost 22gp and maples cost 40gp you need 130k willows to get to 99 and 90k maples to get 99 firemaking, now you may think it is cheaper to use willows because 130k Willows cost 2.86m to 99 FM, maples cost 3.6m to get to 99, so by burning willows you are saving almost 1m.

Look at it another way, you need to burn an extra 40k willows to get to 99 fm, how long will it take to burn 40k willows? its a long time, how many nats can you make in that time? how many yew logs can you chop in that time? how many monkfish can you catch in that time? its going to be a fair few, if you spend the time that you would be burning those extra willows doing a good runescape money making skill you can easily make more than the 1m that you save by burning willows, the cheapest apparent method is not necessary the cheapest way to train, in this scenario its cheaper to burn the more expensive log because it gives you more time to train money making skills.

Its the same with bones for prayer, fish when cooking and many other skills, you need to way up the costs per xp and quantity of items that the different training methods need, there is also the enjoyment factor to count in, if you like burning logs then willows would be fine for you, you may lose more money but its a lot easier if you enjoy it.

Unfortunately I can not say what is good for who, every player is different and stats for other skills pay an important part in your training method, all I am saying is consider the time taken in your cost to train calculations.
